RIBBON ARM FIRE SET This elegant and unique fire set had a three leg stance that would find a firm footing no matter where you put it. The main stem of the stand had two post legs collared at the base, and a massive length of hammered ribbon wrapping upward toward the twisted top piece. The ribbon stretched outward, with small hooks for the fire tools. There were three tools with this set; a poker, a shovel, and a set of "old world" fire tongs. All three tool handles were twisted, terminating in hammered leaves. The stand was 4 feet high with the 12-inch ribbon "arm" at 3.5 feet high. |
TWO-ARM FIRE SET The two arching arms of this fire set were twisted together to form the stand, branching out at the bottom into two post legs. The rear leg, terminating in a hammered spiral, was attached to the stand with a traditional collar. A small hook was mounted in the back for a whisk broom. The shovel and poker had twisted loop handles, each terminating in an ornamental leaf which matched the leaf on the stand. Stand was 3 feet high. |
