EAGLE SPIRIT RING

This eagle silhouette was forged from a single piece of mild steel, riveted inside a 14-inch hammered, scalloped ring of the same material. The ring is riveted at the top, with one tapered end looping back on itself and forming a small ring for wall mounting. Four life-size eagle feathers, forged from the same mild steel, are mounted on rings, exactly duplicating the methods used by Native Americans in mounting/hanging feathers from their ceremonial regalia. Each feather quill is hammer "trimmed" and looped back upon itself, then wrapped and "tied" with steel wire to emulate the leather thong and red twine traditionally used by native craftsmen. Top to bottom this piece measures approximately 26 inches.

ROSE AND HUMMINGBIRD RING

The majority of this unique wall ornament is forged from a single piece of mild steel. With a rose forged in one end, and a hummingbird forged in the other, the span of steel between the two is scalloped and shaped into a 12-inch diameter ring. The ring is riveted at the overlap point (bottom), and the rose and bird are mounted in a configuration suggesting that the bird is drinking from the blossom. A single vine is fastened to the ring with a collar (lower right), twisted to ornament the rose blossom and conceal the stem supporting the hummingbird.

LILY AND HUMMINGBIRD RING

The majority of this wall-mount sculpture is forged from a single piece of mild steel. With a large "cow lily" forged in one end, and a hummingbird forged in the other, the span of steel between the two is twisted and hammered flat to present a "flat rope" edge pattern. The 14-inch diameter ring is riveted at the overlap point (bottom), and the lily and hummingbird are mounted in a configuration suggesting that the bird is drinking from the blossom. Two climbing vines are wrapped around portions of the perimeter ring, the flower stem, and the bird support.

VINES AND ROSES WALL SCULPTURE

The majority of this delicate-appearing wall sculpture is forged from a single piece of mild steel. With a rose forged in each end, the span of steel between the two is scalloped and shaped into a 14-inch ring. The ring is riveted at the overlap point (bottom), and the two roses, complete with thorns, are mounted in a staggered configuration. Four climbing vines are elegantly wrapped around the perimeter ring, around both rose stems, and anchored to the ring and one rose stem with collars.

WALL HANGING CANDLE SCONCE

Two roses and several vines - one terminating in a leaf - entwine to make this wall hanging candle sconce a unique, one-of-a-kind item. As a note of interest, the two roses and the rope-edged perimeter ring are all shaped from a single piece of steel. The ring is riveted at the overlap point (bottom), and the two roses are mounted in a staggered configuration. The entangling vines, candle-holding spiral, and the drip catcher have all been added to the basic ring/rose configuration, held tightly together by a ribbon-textured metal collar. In the center, at the base of the oval, a twisted loop and drip plate, with a hanging ornamental curl, are ready for a tall tapered candle.

ROSE AND HUMMINGBIRD RING

The main piece of this smaller wall ornament is forged from a single piece of mild steel, with a rose forged in one end, and a tiny hummingbird (only 2-inches long) forged in the other. The span of steel between the two is shaped into a deep "U". The rose and bird are mounted in a configuration suggesting that the bird is drinking from the blossom. Two twisting, climbing vines are wrapped around the main piece of the sculpture, with a third vine dangling below the bundle. All are wrapped in the center of the "U" with yet another vine with elegantly curled ends.  Looping curls in one vine on each upper "limb", and in one of the dangling vine ends below, provide anchor points for fastening the piece to a wall.

LOTUS BLOSSOM CENTERPIECE

This custom-commissioned tabletop centerpiece is NOT available for sale, but is shown here as an illustration of yet another type of ornament which you may wish to consider. The piece has eight hammered lotus leaves and four realistic lotus blossoms of varying heights, mounted above an oval ring. Each of the blossoms is presented in a different stage of growth, from barely-opened to wide-open, including center pistol and stamen. The piece is approximately 12-inches wide and 16-inches from end to end. The tallest lotus stands approximately 10-inches above the tabletop.

ANVIL-ROSE

After praying for a wife one night, a blacksmith then dreamed a voice that instructed him to forge a rose. The voice told him that a beautiful lady would come to him when he finished the rose. But if should he lose the rose, the voice warned , the lady would leave him. Upon awakening, the blacksmith immediately forged a beautiful rose. As he struck his final hammer blows an incredibly beautiful woman appeared and pledged her undying love for him. Remembering the words of warning in his dream, the blacksmith wrapped the red hot stem of the steel rose around his anvil so that it could never be lost or stolen. These hand-forged miniature roses were wrapped around tiny desktop anvils while still glowing hot, then brushed with a brass brush to give them a golden glow.

BRASS-BRUSHED ROSES

With a single leaf, or a wrapping vine with no leaf. No two alike

HARVEST SERVING UTENSILS

A single leaf ornamented the looping vine handle - Each utensil was forged from a single piece of steel. Both had 14-inch handles.

a particular sculpture is still available. Please be aware that, despite my best efforts,  no two sculptures are ever exactly alike. If the sculpture you want has already been sold, however, I CAN forge one which is very similar in theme, dimensions, and composition.
